We have summarized our projects and ideas in a paper which was published in PASP, you can download it from arXiv.org (click on the PDF link for the full version). In this write-up, we give a lot of detail on the processes by which we create 3D prints and textile installations. The paper contains a lot of technical detail, but is intended for artists, scientists, or anyone else.
For a more compact summary, this poster describes our scientific and artistic process of creating our textile sculpture. You can download the poster as a jpg (1.5 MB). The video below (produced by the University of Chicago Arts, Science & Culture Initiative) shows us talking about the project.
